YOUR LATEST NEWS ON THE BLUESDate: Dec 18, 2009 BLUES SEND 3 TO LEAGUE ALL STAR GAMEWhile its been a difficult season on the ice for your Jr A team this year, there have been some very significant individual succeses. The most recent is the naming of Pierre Paul Landry, Josh Graves and Derek VanNess to this years All Star game to be held Dec 27th in Vaughn. "Landry has had a significant impact since joining us" commented AC Blair Molto. "He has a lot of tools needed to play the game, and the exciting thing is he can be even better than he is now if he wants to do the work...his potential in this league is huge" Landry leads the team in points per game. "Graves and VanNess have both been pleasant suprises for us this year" says AC Matt Oikawa. "We didnt know what to expect from these young players, but they have generated a lot of interest throughout our league....and higher leagues of play in the past few weeks. When you have teams enquiring about players like these, its a confirmation of their abilities" Each team nominates up to 6 players for the All Star event, 3 in the Junior game and 3 in the Senior game. The OJHL and the OHA make final selections after careful review of players stats and observing them in game play.
